Charles Edward Simons

April 15, 1927 – November 14, 2010

Sending my love and prayers to all who knew and loved this great man.

Rest in Peace.

From an earlier post:

There are times when I feel so lucky to be doing what I do, and right now is one of those times.

Last month Sarah (the bride from my latest wedding) called me up to tell me her Grandfather who is terminally ill would not be able to attend the wedding, so she asked me if I could go to him and capture some special moments with her Daughter and Grandfather . Sarah prepped me before I arrived about the special relationship between Grandad (as everyone calls him) and Chaeli.

When I saw Chaeli run down the stairs Grandad’s face was beaming and everything else appeared forgotten for this moment in time. The love between these two was evident in every shot taken. Honestly, I looked at them through tears the first few times. I felt so honored to capture this beautiful girl spending time entertaining her handsome Grandad, and being able to walk away with special memories frozen in time for their family.

Soon after I arrived Chaeli’s Grandmother told me Sarah had picked out all of Chaeli’s outfits, however Chaeli had plans of her own :) Chaeli, loves loves loves Indian Jones, and informed me her name for the day was Indiana Jooney, and she was going too put together her best mismatched outfits. Indiana Jooney’s outfits never looked so fabulous as they did on this special day!

P.S. Don’t forget to turn your sound on!!

Last week I photographed Cody, a senior from Mingus Union High School in Cottonwood, Arizona.

Cody is a great guy who is currently on the swim and wrestling teams at Mingus.

He is also on the worship team at church, and will be studying to be a youth pastor when he heads off to college next year.

I hope you enjoy your sneak peek Cody, and thanks for all the funny stories!! :)

I photographed Emily a senior from Flagstaff High School last week who is such a sweet girl, and absolutely stunning!!!

I met Emily and her family at Page Springs Vineyards & Cellars for our shoot. The winery is such a beautiful location with some great views of Oak Creek, and the light was amazing!!!

I loved meeting you and your family Emily, and I hope you enjoy your photos.

I am so excited to launch my new blogsite & branding today, and what better way than with photos of this brand new baby girl!

What an absolute joy it was to photograph this little one, and she put up with a lot of location changes from us :)

Congratulations McKenzie & Ryan on such a precious little girl!
