My name is Joanna, & my nick-name is J'Lynn and I am a lifestyle photographer. I am located in Northern Arizona, in the beautiful Verde Valley. I have a great husband, & four beautiful children who inspire me daily!

My Photography Style:
Lifestyle photography. I shoot 100% natural light, on-location photography.

I would describe my style as being natural/organic, very non-traditional. I love to capture those moments when you forget I'm even there. A child taking hold of your hand, a shared smile, a kiss, a tear. Those are the moments that make my heart flutter, and make me feel so very lucky to be doing what I do!!
Simply documenting a day, a memory, a moment in time.......just life as it happens.

Chaeli & Her Grandad…

There are times when I feel so lucky to be doing what I do, and right now is one of those times.

Last month Sarah (the bride from my latest wedding) called me up to tell me her Grandfather who is terminally ill would not be able to attend the wedding, so she asked me if I could go to him and capture some special moments with her Daughter and Grandfather . Sarah prepped me before I arrived about the special relationship between Grandad (as everyone calls him) and Chaeli.

When I saw Chaeli run down the stairs Grandad’s face was beaming and everything else appeared forgotten for this moment in time. The love between these two was evident in every shot taken. Honestly, I looked at them through tears the first few times. I felt so honored to capture this beautiful girl spending time entertaining her handsome Grandad, and being able to walk away with special memories frozen in time for their family.

Soon after I arrived Chaeli’s Grandmother told me Sarah had picked out all of Chaeli’s outfits, however Chaeli had plans of her own :)   Chaeli, loves loves loves Indian Jones, and informed me her name for the day was Indiana Jooney, and she was going too put together her best mismatched outfits. Indiana Jooney’s outfits never looked so fabulous as they did on this special day!

    Seriously, this was absolutely, one of the most beautiful and inspiring things i have EVER seen!!!!!! What an incredible day and moments that will remain priceless forever, and kudos to mom, for realizing such an important bond and wanting to preserve it forever!!!!     My test is a puddle of tears. That is the greatest EVER… That must made me so sad because by the time I found out my grandpa was sick he was too sick to do this with my 2 boys. This is so amazing and I wish I had something like this of my grandpa with my kids. Great, great job.
